Niamh is from Ballyjamesduff, Co Cavan. She attended St Clare's College, Ballyjamesduff. Niamh studied year 1 and year 2 of the Creative Digital Media course at Cavan Institute. Niamh committed fully to her studies and engaged with every event and task assigned during her time at Cavan Institute.
Niamh is deferring her college degree in Multimedia in DCU as she takes up a Junior Designer role at Opus Web Design at Cavan Digital Hub. No doubt Niamh's excellent design skills and knowledge will be well utilised.
Niamh told us that "Cavan Institute is such a good stepping stone to getting what you want to do in life. I was inexperienced after my Leaving Cert and was super disappointed with my results, but going to Cavan Institute has helped me so much in doing what I want to do with my life.
I’ve had the opportunity to go work in Finland through Léargas and Erasmus+ and attended an Adobe Design competition in London. Before COVID-19 hit, I had an opportunity to do an Internship in America for a year. However, I got my dream job out of Cavan Institute which I am in right now. The tutors in CI are really kind and understanding. A PLC is definitely worth doing if you don’t know where to go from Leaving Cert."
