I progressed from Cavan Institute to the University of College Cork and now work as a full-time P.E and History teacher. After completing the two years in Cavan I had so many certificates like personal training, lifeguarding etc which gives me the opportunity to travel and work elsewhere,

The Institute is amazing the tutors are amazing. The opportunities for employment from the course of office environments such as schools, local authorities and the hotel industry. The work is spread out so there is not huge pressure for exams at the end of the year.

It's a course that allows us to participate in caring for people and being aware of others in our communities. I have loved this course it has been so amazing. The teachers and lectures are so helpful. They have a great understanding of mature students. I loved it.

It was a brilliant course. The level 6 was a lot about larger animals. In level 5 I studied a wide variety of modules. I did work experience in the vets, I had an amazing experience. I currently work in ISPCA in Longford. I feel like you are consistently learning something new.

I am hoping to progress to level 8. This course has really shown me I have an interest in tourism. The classes are small so we get to know each other very well

It’s the best thing I have ever done. I got to completely change my career part. I have set up my own business for personal training and fitness classes, promoting the mental and physical benefits of fitness. It’s a very practical course which has built up my confidence.

I studied special needs assistance and child development. The work experience was so beneficial so you can see what to expect from the future. I got two job offers as soon as I left college.

I am going to use this course to prepare me for college and apply for BioMed in Galway. It’s a good opportunity to get a foundation before moving on to level 7. It has helped my confidence with presentations. It’s a hands-on experience with field courses and continuous assessment.

It’s really helped me throughout my education and helped me find out what I want to do for a career. My first year awarded me a level 5 and my second a level 6. It has really helped me get my foot in the door of the career I want to pursue.
